| I think with tattoo's the bigger the better just make sure it's what u want! Normally small tattoo's can be coverd up easily. Having mine coloured in next Saturday got a 5 hour sitting should get half of it done! I've got a jap koi on my lower leg takes up most of it not looking foward to the colouring on my shinn bone. |

i think you could make it smaller & have more intricate detail.
i do not have anything yet, but have one in mind i want i just need to think of how i am going to have it done & some more things to go on it. _________________ Steve get off the viagra you know what happens at your age! |

i love big tats - especially if they are well done!
i have several, and don't plan on stopping anytime soon:
on my upper back, i have an out-line of a two-tailed "kitsune", or japanese fox, whose tails go from fur to flame to water. kitsune's are fire-based folklore creatures, however i'm a pisces, which is water based, so i wanted to combine the two as well as my love of japanese folklore. i custom commissioned this from a favorite artist of mine. dunno when ill get around to colouring it. below that were my first tattoos, japanese kanji. i originally was going to get it all up my spine but got bored halfway oh, and, erm, i have hebrew on my left as cheek that says d'li, or "bucket", which is my sisters and mines nickname for each other, she has the same tat in the same place. pardon my arse!
on my right upper thigh i have 4 paw prints - yellow, blue, red & black.. the primary colors + black. they are years old, and yes, they need touching up. no, im not gonna bother!
on my inner wrists, i have a rat and a ferret in art-nouveau style by another favorite artist i commissioned (and is henceforth my new tattoo artist.. but the not the actual inker tho!)
upcoming tattoos: 1. a "tagua"-style featuring a bird (me), jaugar (best friend) and horse (bf) intertwined to be done on my upper stomach, right below/between my breasts. 2. a gryphon in the Haida art style of the northwestern native americans going on the back of my calf (forget if its gonna go on left or right.). this tattoo i will share with my best friend, as its our "matching" tattoo - about time, after more than 13 years of friendship. |

most decent tattoo shops worth their salt will do custom work if you have an idea about what you want to be honest
Im currently in the process of having one designed for me, but im getting it for free as I used to work with the woman designing it, i just went with a few random and i mean random ideas as I want a leg peice but I want something that incorporated me wanting to pay homage to my mam and grandad but without having tacky names or dates, crosses or anything sh*te like that so basically she as given free reign to thnk up something that incorporated that and a couple of other ideas, and I want it designed so that in the future it can be added to to make it bigger so ive kinda gave her a big task but i know shes good so trust her implicitly and all her tattoos, and she has quite a few large peices are stunning and she did them all herself.
To me the key is knowing the person is up to the job and having the faith in their ability _________________ I dont suffer from insanity...I enjoy every minute of it |

Hi,
I'm a apprentice served tattooist and have a fair few tats, mostly black and grey but some tribal and portrait stuff,
if you think your tat is naff then the best thing you can probably do is cover or change it with a quality tattooist
cheers

I dont have one, but I have always wanted something very cryptic but tribal looking. I do have a picture in my head, but I just cant seem to get it out onto paper.
I knew I should have taken art at school |

I got one a couple of days ago very small on the underside of my wrist... the infinity symbol in turquoise and it's so simple it looks painted on as it has no outline. I have a Magpie on the outside on my left upper arm with William Morris style plants, another Magpie on the inner of the same arm almost stained glass window style, a tiger on my right shoulder which I will have covered soon as it's sh*te. All mine are B&W apart from the symbol which is for my daughter and she watched when I had it done.
My tattoos are for me...each has it's own reason. I was at a bar the other week and the barman saw the bottom of the one on my arm and said... "show me your tattoo..." to which I replied "show me your penis" just because I have them doesn't mean I want to be flashing them all day. _________________ "Life's like box of chocolates... some f*cker's always eaten the good ones by the time I get to them... and the layer underneath!" |
